Who is Peter Mcparland? Mcparland played for Aston Villa 341 apps and scored 120 goals. He was regarded as one of Villas greatest post-war goal scoring winger's, fast direct with a fantastic shot in either foot. His greatest achievements were helping Villa win the FA Cup in 1957 (when his two goals saw off Manchester United) the Second Division title in 1960 and the League Cup in 1961. He represented Northern Ireland in the 1958 World Cup Finals and scored five goals in the Finals helping Northern Ireland to the Quarter Finals stage.
